The Karachi Archive is a collection of short films by Jürgen Schaflechner that captures everyday life in Karachi, drawing inspiration from Austrian filmmakers Elisabeth T. Spira and Ulrich Seidl. The project includes both a linear film archive and a non-linear, interactive Korsakow film created with Christoph Marx, offering contrasting ways to explore the city’s complexity. Through themes like protest, mobility, and women’s rights, viewers are invited to navigate Karachi’s vibrant diversity from multiple perspectives.
